Game Day Help consists of several very important jobs that need to be done. Arranging the game day help is one of the key responsibilities of the team parent. The jobs that need to be done include:
For Home Games:
Field set-up - ensure that the field has the goals in the creases, and that the cones are set up on the field.
Clocks - this is one or two people. The game clock and the penalty clock timers sit in between the two teams at the scorers table and communicate with the coaches and the referee.
Horn - This volunteer also sits at the scorers table and blasts the air horn to signal time has expired or when a coach needs to make a substitution.
For Away Games:
Keep a statistics chart for the coach. This is easier if there is a spotter helping you.
